Alexia Anderson is a distinguished alumna of Ocho Rios High School and a dedicated scholar currently in her final year at Moneague College, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Her commitment to education and her passion for fostering growth in young minds exemplifies her dedication to making a positive impact on her community.
Experience with the Empowerment Camp:
During the summer of 2024, Alexia took on the significant role of Program Coordinator for the DSA Footprint Foundation’s 2024 Empowerment Camp. In this capacity, she was instrumental in ensuring the camp’s smooth operation by managing effective communication with stakeholders and parents/guardians. Her behind-the-scenes contributions played a vital role in the success of the program - demonstrating her leadership, organizational skills, and commitment to empowering youth.

Shana-Kay Allen is a graduate of St. Hilda’s Diocesan High School. After completing her high school education, Shana-Kay pursued further studies at the University of the West Indies (UWI). She earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management with a minor in Management Studies.
Last summer, Shana-Kay joined the Girls’ Empowerment Camp’s team as the Program Coordinator. This role allowed her to actively engage with future leaders within their communities. Her natural skills, innovative ideas, and excellent communication abilities contributed significantly to the success of the camp. She often thought outside the box, attended to participants’ needs, and maintained effective communication with stakeholders and parents/guardians.
Without question, Shana-Kay stands out as an outstanding young lady. Her dedication and impact on the students at the camp are evident. She worked closely with the Program Director and the team, emphasizing not only in words how to be successful, but also her actions. The team’s collective efforts empowered young ladies to strive for excellence and exceed their limits. As the foundation grows and the camp’s influence expands, Shana-Kay’s vision is that in the future the camp will include both young ladies and young men to make a positive impact in their endeavors.
